Look at a picture of Earth. That's here, that's home, that's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there - on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. Science Team’s VisionWe want Students to be able to develop curiosity and awareness about their place in the world and how their decisions and actions impact themselves, their community, their World. Students gain a rich knowledge of the World. Developing scientific consciousness from the subatomic to the intergalactic; gain experience to make sense of it and build the confidence to make judgements based on what they see and find out. DISCOVER - UNDERSTAND - EXPLAIN Students know what Science has to do with them. Students have access to a curriculum that provides them with a strong base knowledge and skill set on which to build. Inspiring them to ask questions, explore materials and contexts to develop their own point of enquiry. |
